Making an Investment Choice

When can you make a choice?

When you first join AUSCOAL Super, all monies in your account are invested in the default Lifecycle Strategy. If you wish to choose your own investment mix, you can do so at any time by completing an Investment Choice form. This is referred to as switching. Your choice will be effective the next business day after we receive your Investment Choice Nomination form.

Can I choose more than one investment option?

You can choose any combination of the pre mixed strategies and asset class options, as long as your total investment equals 100%.

Mixing investment options may allow you to diversify your investments (spread them across a mix of assets) and protect your super in a way that best suits your needs and retirement goals.

What is the cost of making an investment choice?

Your first two investment switches in a financial year are free. Subsequent switches incur a fee of $22 per switch.

The automatic age based switches within the default Lifecycle Strategy are not subject to switch fees. If you nominate several investment options changes on the one form, this is classed as a single switch for fee purposes.
